Isabelle Bouchard shot in Old Montreal About Abelle Photographie

Abelle Slogan

I was seduced by the magic of photography as a teenager playing around with Mom’s old X-370 Minolta camera.  Poring through the manual, I learned how to manipulate the dials and lenses to craft beautiful images with vibrant colours, and crisp black and white.  Developing photos to discover that I had realized my vision was sheer nirvana.  I still get shivers thinking about creating those tableaux.

At McGill University, I trained as a Math teacher. Later, I pursued a minor in Fine Arts at Bishop's University where I studied photography, illustration and drawing to gain an understanding of light and texture. To complement my training, I took every last photography course at the Marsan School of Professional Photography in Montréal – where later I returned to teach portrait and wedding photography. I photographed my first wedding in September of 1999.

My entire life, I’ve been drawn to beauty – especially in this era of boxy functionality. A revolution against these utilitarian times, I aspire to take portraits with a capital “P”.

You are a strong and beautiful woman. I can help you recognize and celebrate that with a magazine-style portrait. Think Vogue, Vanity Fair, You!

You may feel a bit nervous in front of a camera at first, but don’t worry. You’ll be in a safe and cozy nest, with a calm and gentle guide who’ll take care of every last detail. This loving environment will encourage your authentic self to emerge – and that’s when the magic happens!

Are you ready to feel transformed inside and out? No need to alter your body, change your hair or buy a new wardrobe – you’re beautiful as you are! Allow me to honor your unique beauty in an elegant portrait that you and your family will treasure forever. Contact me today to book your no-obligation consultation.

Abelle : is how Noah, my first-born nephew called me when he was little. “Matante Abelle” was his way of saying, Auntie Isabelle.
